I'm very proud to announce my version of ¨Sycamore Feeling¨ recorded and produced by Jakob Høyer and me. On bas Anders Christensen. It's released on Reworked/Remixed, the new collection from the Danish electronic producer Trentemøller. It features two CDs’ worth of his remixes, including work for high-profile clients like Depeche Mode and Franz Ferdinand. Bye the album here
The video is set in a suburban residential apartment building outside of Copenhagen. The woman, played by Marie Fisker herself, moves through the building and into the apartments as a memory. It's a dreamlike feeling of everyday situations which have a link to certain pictures of memories in her mind. To begin with she is standing on top of the house, looking into others people's homes through the windows, then she moves into the apartments and at last she finds herself looking down at the building as it is just her own mind, she has been traveling through. The video was shot on RED by cinematographer Jens-Jakob Thorsen. Diana Tørsløv: Since she left her work as a psychologist in the area of schizophrenia, Diana has worked as a video artist. Another REALLY GOOD review ...o, la, la! Reflektions Of Darkness - a dark music webzine Album Review 10/10 10 years after the foundation of her own “backyard studio”, MARIE FISKER now is releasing her debut ‘Ghost of love’ in Germany. Already released in Denmark in 2009, Marie Fisker had the chance to collaborate with Anders Trentemøller at Roskilde Festival as the result of a long existing co-operation that is still continuing with Trentemøller’s single ‘Sycamore Feeling’ in 2010. Supporting Pete Doherty and Devendra Banhart or even Helgi Hrafn Jonsson during the last years, it becomes obvious that MARIE FISKER’s music needed time… ‘Ghost of love’ needed time, because it’s the way its creator wanted it! It’s not the typical produced album, recorded in short time - not at all! In fact, it seems that MARIE FISKER enjoyed the writing, the composing, the whole creation to the full… and she was well advised to do it that way. ‘Ghost of love’ is an album full of “diamonds and rust” as you can say so! The songs are of such pulchritude while bearing a whole life of experience. Thoughtful music and lyrics capture a mood, that is common to me from Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Lou Reed or Velvet Underground… no wonder at all, that this music acts are the ones MARIE FISKER is referring to! The “rusty” voice of MARIE FISKER fairly reflects the melancholy being inherent in the songs… it’s the perfect release for lonesome evenings, long road trips, hangover laden Sunday mornings or simply if you want to listen to awesome music from an awesome artist… Honestly, I’m going to listen to this album for a very long time… and perhaps hopefully my grandchildren also will some day!

2.4.10: Here it is....! The new video from Anders Trentemøller is written and directed by the Danish video-artist Jesper Just. It shows a woman wondering inside an old empty house in an isolated abandoned and smoky city. The video was shot in an existing ghost-city Centralia PA, USA, known for the fire that still burns in the underground-mines and has been since 1962. The female lead is performed by both, Diana Wagner and a well known New Yorker drag performer, Princess Diandra. The fragmented structure of the video makes it a challenge to separate the two actors.

LOUISIANA MUSEUM of MODERN ART presents an evening about The Man In Black. The author and music-critic Klaus Lynggaard will tell us about Johnny Cash and what is so fascinating about this man who came in from the street and recorded his first hit singles in Sun studio, became a legend in his time and a great inspiration to artists, never stopped touring and recorded the masterpieces I-VI American Recordings with Rick Rubin until he died in 2003. Kenneth Thordal and Marie Fisker will perform songs from the catalogue of his carrier inspired by the man who was one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Concert hall of Louisiana Museum April 8th at 7.30 p.m. 20.3.10: It's been great touring in Switzerland and Germany! The audience and people I met there were all wonderful. I also loved touring with Rune Kjeldsen, Helgi Jónsson and Daníel Böðvarsson. We had much fun. Though I easily get carsick (and almost threw up in the Alps) I think the countryside is beautiful, hilly with vineyards and churches, valley with rivers and strems. Would have loved to hang around on days off to see some more of the citys we styed in, but we had a tight schedule. One really great thing we did was to visit the BRAUNER factory which makes some of the most exquisite microphones in the world! We got invited by the founder and boss Mr. Dirk Brauner and I filmed a lot of it. I'll post some of it soon.

I had the pleasure performing among Piano Prins, Ormen, Nanna Thylstrup, Giana Factory, Copyfjex and Vinnie Who at their launch the 30th of January. It was a great night and the collection is so beautiful!

20.07.09: ...I must admit it was a WILD and an overwhelming experience to show up as a surprise at the dj performance and live concert by Anders Trentemøller at Roskilde Festival 2009. I was so proud to sing "Sycamore Feeling" which Trentemøller and I wrote together and to sing "Copenhagen Love" (a mash up of SODS-Copenhagen/Soft Cell-Tainted Love) with Steen Jørgensen! As I were the first guest performer, afterwards I had the chance to enjoy the rush of this genius performance for two hours in front of 50.000 people. I've never seen such a dancing, raving end enthusiastic audience in my life...! He sure did a fabulous show with dancers, light-show, a 20m caterpillar and most of all Trentemøller delivered his most exciting DJ set, mashing up his favorite tunes from all genres and times and spicing them with his own edits, versions and songs. invited friends and artists on stage were : Marie Fisker, Steen Jørgensen (Sods), Josephine Philip (JaConfetti), Henrik Vibskov, Mikael Simpson and Ane Trolle to join the ride.

08.09.08: VI DER BLEV TILBAGE/ WE WHO STAYED BEHIND 10-year-old Adam is one of the few kids left behind after all the grown-ups have succumb to hopelessness and abandoned the city, leaving it in a state of disarray. Adam tries to make sense of it all, along with his friend Ida. But soon she too is struck by the same symptom of disillusion: Her blood turns gray, her look is empty, and she sets off from the city. Determined to put a stop to this madness and bring Ida back to life, Adam leads the children in their struggle to make the city a place worth living in once again. Marie Fisker has composed and recorded the song "I Love You So" for the shot film "Vi Der Blev Tilbage" by Martin De Thurah. The film is nominated at VENEDIG filmfestival '08 and BUSTER filmfestival '08.

For the fith successive year, Copenhagen Short Film In October the short-film New Love by writer/director This little wonder is 20 minutes long and my song "Close Me In" 05.08.08: Nikolaj Nørlund, Jakob høyer and Marie Fisker is curently mixing the album in Sauna Recordig Studio. We're almost done and very happy! 29.05.08: Tomorrow is the release of the film MA SALAMA JAMIL and also for the soundtrack made by Anders Christensen and Lasse M. Jensen! Marie Fisker is singing on this soundtrack.
Marie Fisker composed the song "I Love You So" for the shot film "Vi Der Blev Tilbage" by Martin De Thurah. This wonderful film for children...and adults, will be broadcasted on Danish national TV some time in the fall (TBA). 29.01.08 : Beboerne i Center Sandholm kan onsdag aften opleve koncert med Kira Skov, Caroline 9.12.07 : The 22 Th. of december the program profiling Johnny Cash will be broadcasted again at DR2 at 8 p.m. Kira and me will sing "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" among other artists performing and interviewed as Steen Jorgensen and Nikolaj Norlund. 3.12.07 : In July this summer I recorded the old punk classic “Copenhagen” with Steen Jorgensen from Sort Sol. I love he’s voice and this song is so great! Listen to the original SODS recording from ‘78 and go to media on this web-cite to listen to our re-recording of this little darling. This recording is the soundtrack for a mini film made by Mads Norgaard for his spring collection 2008. Produced by Tomas Barfod/Tomboy, Djuna Barnes and mixed by Trentemoller. See the film and listen to the track! 1.12.07 : LEVI's has now released a volume #2 cd with new and upcoming bands in scandinavia. 2.10.07 : In October the short-film New Love by writer/director Laurence Coriat and producer Laerke Vindahl, had it's premier in London. The film was commissioned by Film4and UK Film Council on their Cinema Extreme strand.New Love is a story set in the future. In a brave new world built on rationality, it plunges us into the irrational logics of love and desire. This beautiful little film is 20 minutes long. I had the privilege to have my song "Close Me In" on the soundtrack and I'm so proud of it! I hope to show you a small bite of it on my web page soon...
